Tom Ryan-Hill is a senior corporate and commercial lawyer with over a decade of experience advising boards, founders and senior executives on complex commercial, corporate and regulatory matters across the UK, Middle East and other international markets. He acts as consultant counsel at Argentum Law, providing senior, in-house-style legal support to UAE and international clients on strategic contracting, corporate governance, enterprise compliance frameworks and risk management. Tom has held senior in-house leadership roles within large, regulated organisations, including as General Counsel and Company Secretary of Emirates Flight Catering, and brings a commercially focused, pragmatic approach shaped by extensive experience operating at board and C-suite level.

Selected representative roles and matters:

  • Acting as senior commercial counsel to UAE and international clients on complex commercial contracts, technology and services agreements, procurement frameworks and corporate structuring matters.
  • Serving as General Counsel and Company Secretary of Emirates Flight Catering, advising on group-wide corporate governance, strategic procurement, major technology and construction projects, and high-value disputes within a multi-billion-dollar enterprise.
  • Negotiating and managing commercial contracts with an aggregate value in excess of USD 1 billion across aviation, technology, energy and infrastructure-adjacent sectors.
  • Advising on a USD $30m+ post-construction dispute relating to the world’s largest vertical farm project.
  • Instrumental role in Seadrill Limited’s US Chapter 11 restructuring, advising on asset sales, customer contracts and multi-jurisdictional litigation across a global offshore drilling group.
  • Advising UK-listed and multinational organisations on outsourcing, technology, employment and data protection matters, including group-wide GDPR implementation projects and corporate restructurings.
