Nader is a personable, resourceful and pragmatic UK qualified solicitor, with circa 24 years’ experience working for major corporations, including National Petroleum Construction Company, Abu Dhabi (General Counsel & Board Secretary), Serco Middle East, Dubai (Head of Legal & Compliance), Oman Oil Company E&P, Muscat (Chief Legal Counsel), Occidental Petroleum Corporation (Oxy), Oman (Legal Counsel), ADNOC, Abu Dhabi (Senior Legal Advisor) and  Sea Containers/Orient Express Group, London, UK (In-house Solicitor).  

Selected representative roles and matters:

  • During his career, Nader has provided strategic and legal advice in relation to JVs, acquisition, restructuring and financing, tendering and contracting, oil and gas agreements; engineering, procurement and construction contracts (EPC); disputes and arbitrations; insurance; shipping and transport; regulatory matters; employment; business development and start-up legal issues.
  • 10+ years of C-level leadership experience.
  • Working on several corporate restructuring initiatives and reviews of internal organizational matters.
  • Establishing international and regional subsidiaries, offices and branches.
  • Managing a number of international acquisitions in the engineering sector, including in France, the United Kingdom, Spain and India.
  • Advising on and administering oil and gas production sharing agreements and drilling contracts.
  • Drafting and negotiating joint ventures and related agreements for energy/construction projects in the UAE, India, Kuwait, Qatar, Libya, Oman, Bahrain and Saudi.
  • Managing several international arbitrations and other disputes and litigation.
  • Advising on, and supporting a large global marine container business, and handling shipbuilding contracts and charter parties, and ship finance, purchase and registration.
  • Developing and administering ethics and compliance programs.
