• Counselling executive management teams of listed multinationals on a multitude of corporate/commercial matters, including JVs, strategic alliances, enterprise risk management, corporate governance, ethics & compliance, data privacy, commercial transactions, dispute resolution, trade sanctions & export controls, real estate, shipping finance and employment.
• Advising on, drafting, and negotiating multi-million US Dollar revenue co-operation agreements with government agencies of Nigeria, Sao Tome and Principe, Cameroon and Angola.
• Advising on, structuring, and negotiating the multi-party agreements with oil majors, (valued at USD 300 million).
• Advising on joint ventures in Nigeria, Ghana, Equatorial Guinea, and Malaysia and regulatory frameworks.
• Advising on multi-million US Dollar claims, including USD 37 million arbitration claim, and leading negotiations for the settlement of same.
• Developing and implementing data privacy policy, notices, and associated documents, facilitating, and advising on the conduct of data protection impact assessment in compliance with GDPR and other applicable data privacy laws.
• Advising on tenders and negotiating multi-million US Dollar commercial contracts relating to engineering, procurement, and services in the upstream sector of the oil and gas industry.
• Restructuring the company’s employment contracts and related documentation and providing general corporate and legal advice resulting in a cost saving of USD 120K per year.
• Handling real estate transactions, including the sale and purchase of real estate property in Singapore (value USD 8.3 million).
• Advising on ethics and compliance, trade sanctions and export controls regulations (including conducting due diligence and training).
